I read for a PhD in cultural relations in the Mediterranean at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili in Tarragona (2012) and an M.A. in European Cultural Policy and Management at the University of Warwick (2005) as a Chevening Scholar. I was executive director of the Valletta 2018 (European Capital of Culture) Foundation (2011-2017) and cultural attaché at the Permanent Representation of Malta to the EU in Brussels (2006-2011).
